There are three steps to finding your correct size of the Flattering me long line strapless bra.

  1. Find the perfect fit for the regular bra size you should wear every day.
  2. Compare your waist measurements to the Flattering me Waist measurement chart.
  3. Let us know what kind of torso you have, "Standard" or "Petite".

Fact:

Did you know that 70% of women in the world wear the wrong size bra? We all know that the most important feature of any bra is the fit, and yet many women go through life wearing the wrong bra size. The mistake many women make is to settle for a bra that's close enough, rather than finding one that's perfect. It's very important to wear a properly fitting bra not only for comfort, but also for your health. A properly fitting bra can alleviate strain on the back and shoulders as well as keeping the breast tissue from breaking down.

To find the perfect fit bra, I have created an innovated system that will calculate automatically the regular bra size you should wear every day. These calculations are just for bra sizes '32' to '46', and cups 'A' to 'DD'.

Here is a chart of the sizes we offer:

Note: All sizes on the chart with the same color have the same size cup.

For example, the cup of a "38C" (aqua on the chart) is equal to the cup of a "36D" or "40B" (aqua on the chart). The only difference in between those sizes is that the fit of the band will be smaller or larger around the body. For example, the "40B" bra band is larger around the body than the "38C", but the cups are the same.

This example not only apply to the fit of the Flattering me bra, but also will apply to every other brand of bras in the world.

CUP/SIZE 32 34 36 38 40 42 44 46
A 32A 34A 36A 38A 40A N/A N/A N/A
B 32B 34B 36B 38B 40B 42B 44B 46B
C 32C 34C 36C 38C 40C 42C 44C 46C
D 32D 34D 36D 38D 40D 42D 44D 46D
DD 32DD 34DD 36DD 38DD 40DD 42DD 44DD 46DD

A- Find your perfect fit bra:

1- Measure directly under the bust line. Measure over the skin (not over clothing) with a regular unpadded bra on and keep the tape parallel to the floor (straight across), making sure that the tape is flat over your skin and not loose. We also recommend standing in front of a mirror to make sure the tape measure is parallel to the floor, especially if you are doing this yourself. Pull the tape measure tight to ensure an accurate measurement. Before you read the number on the tape measure, make sure your arms are down and your shoulders relaxed. Follow design:

Note: Round your results up or down, depending on the fractions of an inch (or cm). If less than 1/2 inch (or 1/2 cm), round down. If 1/2 inch (or 1/2 cm) or more, round up.
Do not put decimals in the box.

2- Measure your bust line. Measure over the fullest part of your bust line with a regular unpadded bra on and keep the tape parallel to the floor (straight across). This time, don't pull the tape measure tight, just make sure it's not loose. Again, before you read the number on the tape measure, remember to have your arms down and your shoulders relaxed. Follow design:

Note: Round your results up or down, depending on the fractions of an inch (or cm). If less than 1/2 inch (or 1/2 cm), round down. If 1/2 inch (or 1/2 cm) or more, round up.
Do not put decimals in the box.

Remember that busts differ in terms of the volume, shape and spacing of the breast, and torsos differ in terms of volume and shapes too. You should keep in mind that a tape measure alone cannot always give you accurate results. If you feel that the size calculated is correct, then proceed with step # B. If you feel that this size is incorrect or if you received an N/A (Not Available) result, please call us at (03) 9505 0500 or email us info@flatteringme.com.au in Australia with the information you have entered and we will then help you to find your perfect fit bra size.

B- Compare your waist measurements to the Flattering me Waist measurement chart.

Long line bras fit around your complete torso; the Flattering me bra is a long line strapless bra, therefore we need to consider your waist measurement for the correct fit of this bra.

1- Measure your natural waistline. Measure over your skin (not over clothing). Please hold the tape taut, not loose. Make sure to measure over the smallest part of your waistline area. Follow design.

2- Check on the following chart, to determine if your waist measurement matches the corresponding waist for the Flattering me bra size you have chosen.

C- Let us know what kind of torso you have, "Standard" or "Petite".

The meaning of "Petite" has been confused through the years. People think that "Petite" means skinny and short, and that is not true. The word "Petite" means - short torso -. And yes, in general most of the "Petite" people are short, but you could be 5'8" (around 172 cm) and still have a short torso with long legs. And for sure, the meaning of "Petite" has nothing to do with skinny, because you could be an overweight person and still have a short torso. And speaking of overweight women, I have found out that 75% of the overweight women will fit the "Petite" size better than the "Standard", no matter her height, because most of them have a short torso and high hips.
Another group of women that will better fit in the "Petite" sizes are the mature women. Through the years, after having babies, the hips start getting higher and dresses don't fit as well as they did before.

The best person to find out if you have a "Petite" torso or not, is yourself.

  1. Do you sometimes buy "Petite" blouses and they fit you better?
  2. When you try fitted dresses or blouses (not stretch materials or spandex), does the fabric on the front (below your bust line) get loose and baggy? That's because it is too long for your torso.

Watch yourself in front of a mirror and see if your hips are higher and if you can tell if you have a short torso or not.

Now that you already know your "Perfect fit bra size", your "Waist measurements" and realized if you will need a "Standard" or "Petite" size, you are ready to get your "Flattering me long line strapless bra".
